Here are some of the cards that I made. Check out the <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/" target="_blank">Stampin'Up</a> website to find these products.<br />

I think it is because all of my kids are old enough to play outside and have fun, without too much worry of them putting bugs and dirt in their mouths! Planning to do a few camping trips this summer as well now that we don't have to pack the whole house for baby supplies :). In the meantime...while I wait for it to really get warm outside...I made this really fun butterfly wreath for my front door. I absolutely love the new butterfly framelits from Stampin'Up! I just can't get enough of this die. I sure hope they keep this one around for a while. Here are some close ups.<br />

One of the cards I created was inspired by a card layout on the <a href="http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">mojomonday</a> blog.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjer4Bvrh2ZkVaOUgAZH-bBgATh6VaAKKk8uJzTLCkZ2lon3NdKTSjWr9E0jnN3XxiStdvsAiBU2baP6BosO0tRvWMI2sZa_T0hsG8kFHVDmKE6OrW7DNChNVHTw0zhxX5KXJy8wfOskwej/s1600/zzmojo385.gif" imageanchor="1" style="color: #333333; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 20.8px; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjer4Bvrh2ZkVaOUgAZH-bBgATh6VaAKKk8uJzTLCkZ2lon3NdKTSjWr9E0jnN3XxiStdvsAiBU2baP6BosO0tRvWMI2sZa_T0hsG8kFHVDmKE6OrW7DNChNVHTw0zhxX5KXJy8wfOskwej/s200/zzmojo385.gif" width="145" /></a></div>
<br />
The diagonal element was a fun idea but I was not liking how my cards looked using paper to create that piece. So I decided to try it with a stamp! I love this butterfly bundle from Stampin'Up! and I have been using it a lot! So...here is what I came up with and I made a bunch of extras because I really liked how it turned out. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZjMLSBZvyHSNSd2dlRJZfBo_keqllo2xiqoAPXq7PQgpJRm9Iq6AG4NFRfmJCx3t2DUuDGq4-lg728l9_VFg5flGUR2vD8sxYM6OBjz-l0BbjZSCaexei49l2EdASD8qq0iNVda0kOww/s1600/IMAG2545-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZjMLSBZvyHSNSd2dlRJZfBo_keqllo2xiqoAPXq7PQgpJRm9Iq6AG4NFRfmJCx3t2DUuDGq4-lg728l9_VFg5flGUR2vD8sxYM6OBjz-l0BbjZSCaexei49l2EdASD8qq0iNVda0kOww/s1600/IMAG2545-1.jpg" height="320" width="221" /></a></div>
<br />
I really never do get tired of butterflies! They are so fun to stamp with and this thinlit is one of my all time favorites.<br />

This year has been my favorite because <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/" target="_blank">Stampin'Up!</a> has some fabulous stamps and accessories this year. Here are a few examples of some of the cards that we made.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiO8u-EGpxzIoFrwfJWrlp50FVihCLZV3W8aEb5eQVHo-1IHdCHO3GvERZ8IqoxgWLxU0wHT-qHrGxUEwJ-wKrMJHE9cYnkwRq7oZJmUF8osAma6hbBfdkneen7EcF8h_qEHcWTr9uWhTU/s1600/DSCN6956.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiO8u-EGpxzIoFrwfJWrlp50FVihCLZV3W8aEb5eQVHo-1IHdCHO3GvERZ8IqoxgWLxU0wHT-qHrGxUEwJ-wKrMJHE9cYnkwRq7oZJmUF8osAma6hbBfdkneen7EcF8h_qEHcWTr9uWhTU/s1600/DSCN6956.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
This card has a fabric piece on the background and champagne glimmer paper to add some sparkle!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh62O6GScvpymrk-LjEr7J_nOBvJ-db7RS9iRYWyUAyoVL8062Ks7XlXvQM4WxrcPla-R_PnVdziAz_43v5xnNGpvX00HyaYobFOKvU28L9IknYlUsxGG8-vi00EjfGz5g3HJcdRZ5-Oqc/s1600/DSCN6957.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh62O6GScvpymrk-LjEr7J_nOBvJ-db7RS9iRYWyUAyoVL8062Ks7XlXvQM4WxrcPla-R_PnVdziAz_43v5xnNGpvX00HyaYobFOKvU28L9IknYlUsxGG8-vi00EjfGz5g3HJcdRZ5-Oqc/s1600/DSCN6957.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
This has been my favorite stamp/framelit set of the year. It is called Wonderous Wreath and it is a <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=137624" target="_blank">photopolymer</a> stamp!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSveDTGOp10GK0_anMd36roEP54zSqr9N5bOwylZ4thk8AWLUOan7MqP0aPeDfd7b-QHkEYnMcjPe9zVhTur4m0MY1sLtM_E3q07_f0slSEwLBvBwTlY1-PkEMIwlIrD3cwaSEhCcwK0o/s1600/DSCN6959.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSveDTGOp10GK0_anMd36roEP54zSqr9N5bOwylZ4thk8AWLUOan7MqP0aPeDfd7b-QHkEYnMcjPe9zVhTur4m0MY1sLtM_E3q07_f0slSEwLBvBwTlY1-PkEMIwlIrD3cwaSEhCcwK0o/s1600/DSCN6959.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
Every year I do one card that is a non-traditional color scheme for the holidays. This one was inspired by the <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=133001" target="_blank">retro fresh</a> washi tape. Colors for this card are pool party, tangerine tango, and baked brown sugar. I loved the look that was created by embossing over washi tape. This layout was also inspired by the <a href="http://www.palspaperarts.com/2014/11/ppa228-a-sketch-challenge.html" target="_blank">Pals Paper Arts</a> sketch challenge PPA 228. It is slightly different because I put element #3 under element #2 and all the way across the page, but I still like how it turned out.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiw0HaZ9KRKzQeSmOY-ppO0DkA-KN8AYuoIoGmGQYu4z1CGntIuIbAX6cYDMvxIQzO7v3AMmKoOU25bZr4UDXGQHZhvdgExiXfhdExGuA-wxVZx8DU8r7lQtH21wDAn-k4ZgHGms16VHuA/s1600/DSCN6961.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiw0HaZ9KRKzQeSmOY-ppO0DkA-KN8AYuoIoGmGQYu4z1CGntIuIbAX6cYDMvxIQzO7v3AMmKoOU25bZr4UDXGQHZhvdgExiXfhdExGuA-wxVZx8DU8r7lQtH21wDAn-k4ZgHGms16VHuA/s1600/DSCN6961.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
This has been another favorite set of the year. It is called <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=134114" target="_blank">Work of Art</a>. There are so many options and different ways this set can be used. I saw this square stamp and thought of presents!<br />
<br />
I am so excited for the holidays this year, and this has been a great start to the season.Jeremy, Tiffany, and Ciara Quilterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12669056405394988520noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2928715931002012210.post-7881703007923958052014-11-19T18:01:00.000-08:002014-11-19T18:01:27.278-08:00It's been a while!Well, it has been too long since I posted. I have been so busy these past two years that I just haven't taken the time to post anything. I want to start being more consistent on here so that I can document my creativity! Over the past year I have been attempting some new mediums of creativity. I have been doing wood project here and there because my husband likes to help me with these, and I enjoy his help! Here is a picture of one of my favorites<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9mDkRA3LQ1I76Nr1uYuY6QTxClXOnqx827bH5h0X4Tmftthhb78UOy3E8Si3DOjAoyt-J70hAnO3MrTf9r8lI4ILdU-4hQZJxFxUNBUybUA6o_y5E3Zh0V1MczX6YM1zy-n8gZ2NGiUc/s1600/IMAG2202.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9mDkRA3LQ1I76Nr1uYuY6QTxClXOnqx827bH5h0X4Tmftthhb78UOy3E8Si3DOjAoyt-J70hAnO3MrTf9r8lI4ILdU-4hQZJxFxUNBUybUA6o_y5E3Zh0V1MczX6YM1zy-n8gZ2NGiUc/s1600/IMAG2202.jpg" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
The other media I have been attempting is canvas. I made these two canvases for my son's room and I got so much feedback on them I though I would try some more.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I absolutely love this time of year, the leaves are starting to change color the morning is air is starting to be crisp and cold and the best part is...my birthday is coming up. I think that naturally we enjoy the season that our birthdays are in. October just happens to be my favorite month :). I cannot wait to do more fall projects, and I am also already getting excited to do some holiday projects. The holiday catalog came out earlier than normal this year, so I have started getting ideas of how I want to use the new products (christmas in July). I am trying really hard to stay in the current season as much as possible so that the holiday's don't rush by like they sometimes can! <br />
So with the current season in mind, here is the project that we are going to be doing for Hosstess club in October! It is a card and box made from basic black, very vanilla, and tangerine tango card stock. I used the Howlstood & Scaring Bone (#126906 - $10.95) designer series paper, the 1/2" Striped Satin Ribbon (#127837 - $7.95), and the Toxic Treats (#127901 - $20.95) stamp set from the Stampin' Up <a href="http://204.228.150.61/catalogs/flash/en-US/2012_Holiday_a3vfnf5/index.html" target="_blank">2012 Holiday Catalog</a><br />

I just love this stamp set, it is the perfect Halloween set! Not too scary, but just the right amount of spook! It has a rustic element to it, but can be used in a playful way too.<br />

This is an idea that I cased from a fellow demonstrator. The ribbon is "frayed" by cutting the binded edges off of both sides and then pulling and fraying the fibers to create this spider like effect.<br />
<br />
If you would like to make either of these projects or if you are interested in joining my Hosstess club, send me an e-mail or comment on this post!Jeremy, Tiffany, and Ciara Quilterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12669056405394988520noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2928715931002012210.post-53466269727083503982012-08-28T09:50:00.001-07:002012-08-28T09:50:13.305-07:00One last ray of Summer! As usual at the end of August, it feels like the summer has flown by! I wanted to create one more card that represented the bright cheery flowers of the summer before we fade into the beautiful calm fall.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_Vy8J65dGxWw6BrIPtp8vN9d4Gr_4kX4PH4pJBhJRV1SxaoznXO8LyWEvK4pFY9i2hDj0QMpOvchJfMjXGtdvLvmHFh9d-5nUciBLs4TcnyA8PBCM5tFyAZAp4C0z5NWo8Fm3-0zZJ7U/s1600/DSCN5554.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_Vy8J65dGxWw6BrIPtp8vN9d4Gr_4kX4PH4pJBhJRV1SxaoznXO8LyWEvK4pFY9i2hDj0QMpOvchJfMjXGtdvLvmHFh9d-5nUciBLs4TcnyA8PBCM5tFyAZAp4C0z5NWo8Fm3-0zZJ7U/s320/DSCN5554.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I have had such an enjoyable summer and I wanted the card to say everything that is wonderful and great about the colors and life of summer! Fabulous, sweet, happy, smile & enjoy! I used the "Fabulous Phrases" stamp set (#120501) stamped with Raspberry Ripple ink on Whisper White card stock.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLbs_TCah0aHyCWpum9iQ3bpYPRQEEiKHnOe9gkJo3EOcTr2uxZSP9yjeklq71_mnJPRqOCzsG2hi0gtesMqW0ZNh1itLAerC2CAMiS2S-YU4YgiZmj4LZS4LvfGRxWbx9Nznv80b2m5w/s1600/DSCN5557.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLbs_TCah0aHyCWpum9iQ3bpYPRQEEiKHnOe9gkJo3EOcTr2uxZSP9yjeklq71_mnJPRqOCzsG2hi0gtesMqW0ZNh1itLAerC2CAMiS2S-YU4YgiZmj4LZS4LvfGRxWbx9Nznv80b2m5w/s320/DSCN5557.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The flower is made from "Floral District" designer series paper (#126919) punched with the Full Heart punch (#119883). I just punched the hearts and folded them in half, glued one side to the Whisper White paper and put a brad in the middle. Easy and simple, the best kind of crafting to do in the busy summer when we want to be spending as much time outside as possible! </div>

This is a fun project that I found on the wonderful world of Pinterest! I saw this idea and thought it would be a perfect use for my Stampin' Up Designer Fabric. This is the "Flirtatious" Designer Fabric. I am planning to put this on my daughters door as she loves tinker bell and these colors fit with the theme of her room!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I was really pleased with how well this all came together. The hardest part was picking out all of the colors. Stampin' Up has so many fabulous products that I can't ever find enough ways to use all of them! This last picture shows a close up of how the ribbons are tied to the foam wreath form.</div>

This is my new favorite tool from Stampin' Up! (Item <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=126185" target="_blank">#126185</a>) It is a great tool for masking and for adding a little extra color to projects. I CASED this card from the <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/" target="_blank">Stampin' Up</a> 2012-13 Catalog. I have found that the best way to use the spritzer is to fill it about 3/4 of an inch from the top with rubbing alcohol and then add 10 drops of re-inker. Shake well and use an empty cardboard box to catch the extra spray.<br />

The letters were cut from scrap paper with my Cricut. I put some two way glue on the back of the letters and let it dry so that it would stick but not permanantly. Then I spritzed one spray right in the middle of the letters. (it doesn't show up as dark in this picture because of the flash, but it covers all the letters)<br />

<br />This is another example showing how the spritzer can be used not only for masking ('summer') but also to add a little extra color to the page (see the corner by the hearts). I began crafting as a hobby when I was about 15 years old and I never new that it would become a lifelong passion! In the past year, I feel like my "craftiness" has blossomed and come to a new level...now this may sound like I am boasting a little bit...but I have been getting new tools and learning a lot of new techniques which have caused this jump in creativity. When I began selling Stampin' Up just one year ago, I was nervous and didn't really know what I had gotten myself into! I can tell you now, that I absolutely love Stampin' Up and I will probably be a demonstrator for the rest of my life. <br />
<br />
This leads me to my most recent project ... a couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to prepare the decorations for a friend's bridal shower. With the help of her sister and two other friends it came together very nicely! She sent me some ideas of what she wanted and we ran with it. Luckily the colors she picked are some of my very favorite colors, bright orange and pink! It was so much fun to do this for her. <br />
<br />

This is the dessert table. After some searching we were able to find enough matching orange and pink paper to do all of the details. She is a beautiful bride to be!<br />

I am a little late on posting my fathers day card, but when I saw the <a href="http://www.mojomonday.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Mojo Monday</a> challenge today, the card that I had made fit the sketch. This was such a fun card to make. Sometimes it is hard to come up with "male" type cards. We see so many flowers and birds and "girl" colors in the craft world, but sometimes I like trying to think outside the box to come up with boy cards. I just love this stamp set from Stampin' Up ("I Dig You" #122722). It is a great set for kids and adults!<br />

The best part about making this card was having my daughter write a message to grandpa and seeing my dad's expression when he opened the card. He loves to use heavy equipment and so this was the perfect card for him. He kept talking about how great this card was. I love my dad!<br />

The colors of summer inspired me to create this sample card and decor picture for my upcoming Stamp CLASS on June 5th at 6:30pm. We will be making the happiness framable card as well as five greeting cards that will be similar to the hello card pictured. The class will be $10, e-mail me if you are interested and come join me for an evening of colorful crafting!<br />

I am attempting my first blog challenge today! I am fairly new to the blog world and am excited that I found <a href="http://www.palspaperarts.com/" target="_blank">pals paper arts</a> . They do color challenge and sketch challenges. It is fun to see what the design team comes up with and then be able to get inspiration from their ideas to do my own design.
